I know lots of people mix white with rose gold, but I’ve got a yellow gold e ring that seems to be a warmer gold than most yellows I’ve seen. It’s a solitaire so the metal definitely shows. I’m wanting to get an eye&bead band and then maybe a pave to stack with it in rose gold but not sure if it would look funny. Anyone have yellow and rose mixed, or anyone hate the way it looks or have any input at all? Thanks!

I don’t usually like when two golds are mixed but i have recently seem many beautiful pieces of rose gold mixed with yellow gold. Do you want the band as a wedding band or just a ring to add to your engagement ring? I think if its your wedding band maybe don’t do it. I feel like rose gold has become very trendy and i would worry about not liking it down the line. That being said i know many women who love rose gold and i know would never regret it! Go with your gut!

I don’t have any experience mixing yellow and rose gold bands but I do mix the two almost daily with other jewelry! Most of my necklaces are yellow gold but my Ering and the majority of my bracelets and earrings are rose gold. I think it works best when the two are distinguishable. I’ve seen sets where the yellow gold and rose gold look too close together to be “mismatched” but yet too different to look intentional.

futuremrswhirl : I’ve loved rose gold for over 10 years now. I just didn’t realize what it was called lol. But I remember being so in love with a customers ring and she said it was “a different type of gold.” I now know that it’s rose gold. I’d be replacing my current band with the two other bands, preferably rose gold. Here’s my current set. I am going to get an open band to fix the gap, then put and additional (probably pave) band behind that one. I just think it looks funny having such a thin band with such a big stone. Plus I wish the diamonds on it went further around it rather than only the top 1/3 of the band.
