I just finished a 50 foot rose petal aisle runner for my son’s wedding and had read all the posts before beginning. I tried the hot glue gun approach in the beginning and that is not the way to go–I got about three feet done in five hours, I opted for spray glue for fabrics (got it at Home Depot, but it’s also available at Michael’s and Hobby Lobby) and it worked like a charm. Eight hours later, 18,000 petals were glued down and the result is BEAUTIFUL. I purchased the petals from Petal Garden and they were very high quality and a great price–not to mention there were a TON of colors to choose from. All in all I’m very pleased with the effect and for less than $300 I have a professional and gorgeous aisle runner for the wedding. The spray glue made the project go smoothly and I’m glad I did it this way.
