@MeadowsBee:  I bought 150 white carnations from Sam’s Club for $75 and they turned out great in our centerpieces. They arrived on time, in great condition. I hydrated them and had them delivered two days before the wedding.

I bought a mix of white flowes from Sam’s to mix with lavender roses for both ceremony and reception uses and I was really happy with them. They came carefully boxed and just when I expected them to arrive. We took them out and put them in large buckets of water and they held up so well. I live in Florida and we had our wedding in August so you can imagine the heat. The only ones that didn’t hold up very well were the hydrangeas so that’s something to keep in mind. Other than that, I loved them.

I would suggest you call them though. There is a time limit for when you should order them by and I noticed that you’re getting married in October. Probably plenty of time but it’s good to know when the time limit is by.

@MeadowsBee:  I am!  I’m also a florist but Louisiana has stupid laws when it comes to florists and I can’t buy flowers from my local wholesaler since I do it from my home and don’t have a storefront.  I have two weddings coming up this October so I was thinking about using Sams because my brides are on a budget.  It’s good to know so many people had positive experiences.

@maifunez:  Hydrangeas are pretty fickle flowers anyways, they are so delicate and can require a lot of attention.

@MeadowsBee:  I can’t remember if I had them delivered Thursday or Friday but my wedding was on a Sunday so 2-3 days before. We stored them in my in-laws bedroom because it was the coolest part of the house where the AC was strong. We just kept the door closed and had the AC on and maybe even a fan. I have to say, they held up really well.
