Kitty+baby! I’m sorry things have been so rough. I wish your little boy the very best. He’s/you’ve been through so much already, I hope the worst is behind you. *hugs*

I’m sorry you’re having a rough time- I really hope today was better! Here are some pictures of my kitty love Thea! I’ll include one showing how she shares lap space with my baby (which she’s actually even doing right this moment)

She’s not really sure that she likes the foot against her shoulders, but it’s not annoying enough to move

catmom17 :  Thinking of all of you during this tough time.  I hope one day he can be seizure free and you don’t need to worry about it.  I couldn’t imagine.  You’re such a strong Mama! <3 All the love and hugs coming to you.

catmom17 :  Hey girl!  How’s your little guy doing lately?  Hopefully no more seizures??!

Thanks for asking about Tristan.  He’s 7 months old now and a sweet, happy boy.  It took three months of testing and uncertainty after his birth, but we learned that he has a genetic condition called Noonan Syndrome.  It’s a single gene mutation that can have pretty far-ranging effects.  Many of the kids have congenital heart defects (luckily he does not!!), feeding problems (he had failure to thrive but now is eating pumped breastmilk really well), growth problems and small stature eventually requiring human growth hormone treatment (he is in the 0.2% for weight, my sweet little guy…. still in 0-3 clothing at 7 months old!).  They often have emotional and/or intellectual disabilities, too.  We just don’t know how it will all present itself.

It was a pretty rough few months, but now that he’s eating and generally healthy and happy, we are settling into this new reality.  He’s in early intervention therapy (physical and occupational), and while he’s behind on his milestones, so far he is hitting them all eventually.  My husband has been absolutely amazing – he is such a good daddy and so supportive to me.  I’m focusing on releasing the need to predict and control the future, and just focusing instead on what we can do here in the present and letting go of the rest.  We sure adore him… he’s such a sweet little boy.

We’re both older so we are gonna be crazy people and start TTC again in a few more months.  Tristan’s genetic condition was just a rare fluke and we don’t have any reason to believe the same thing might happen again, although of course we will adore any little baby that comes our way!

KittyYogi :  He’s so adorable!!!!  I’m sorry it’s been such a tough road, but it sounds like you both are in the right mindset for this.  Good luck with TTC again soon <3

KittyYogi :  He’s so so sweet, I can’t handle it! You and your husband sound like an amazing team, and Tristan is so lucky to have you guys in his corner. I have no doubt he’ll do great with you guys watching out for him. ๐Ÿ’• And much respect for you being ready for another baby already! I’m just like NOOOOOoooOOOOooooooooooOOO ๐Ÿ˜‚
