@cologirl:  I don’t like it. I think that hair all pulled back looks severe. I prefer half up, half down or just down. That’s just me though! I think it looks more feminine and sexy. Buns remind of librarians or me when I am trying to get my hair out of my face.

@cologirl:  I really like it! But I also like the big bun, soooo take my opinion with a grain of salt 😉

@cologirl:  may i suggest half up half down – i did this where it was a side like pony tail – i danced all night and it didnt bother me – plus they sprayed it so damn much it never lost its curl

@cologirl:  You could always look for a hairstyle that you can wear down or half up for the ceremony and photos, then just add a few bobby pins and make it an updo for the reception. 🙂

I love it! I love the bangs part and I love how the bun is pinned and twisted.  It makes me wish my hair were a little longer…..

I really like buns though so I’m partial…

I hate updos on me but think they’re so elegant and classy. I love this style you posted, it’s not plain but not so intricate that it looks stuffy. It’s soft and romantic.

I definitely think it makes a difference seeing it on you, though, it looks amazing on her but may not wow you when you see it on yourself.

I like it and I like big buns! I wear my hair half up, half down 95% of my life and wanted it like that…..but then I bought a dress with a very detaild dress so I had it all up in a big bun. To soften it a little I had some loose around the sides of my face. I’d suggest that….except you said curls drop and you may not like it so much with strait loose bits.

@LilLis:  I like big buns and I cannot lie!

@cologirl:  I like the hair style. I really enjoy all up hairstyles for formal settings. I find the half-up/half-down can look sloppy but it all depends on the final look. If you can pull it off, go for it girl!

@cologirl:  Have you thought about a side swept style? I also had a very detailed back on my gown & went with a messy side braid/bun. It didn’t look as severe as the style above because you could still see alot of my hair from the front (also stick straight long hair)…. Then you’d get the bun you wanted, still see the back details, and it would all be up the way you want but more feminine & romantic/sexy….

    This was my inspiration pic

@cologirl:  I love it! Just make sure your hair is long enough to do the updos you want! I discoverd that my shoulder length hair was WAY too short to do any of the updos that I wanted and so had to purchase clip in extensions (I got 100% human hair from etsy for a pretty decent price). Maybe you could post a picture of your face so we can all give you tips on what we think would flatter you most? Originally when I asked about an updo I got negative responses but when I poste my face a lot of people changed their minds and thought I would look great with it!

I really like it. I have similar hair to yours and also wear mine up 99% of the time. I’m planning on having an updo with plenty of volume. I also like big buns lol.
