When I had my 7.5mm FB round I thought it was way too big for my 6-6.25 finger. I loved the setting, just wished I would have chosen a smaller size.

Here’s the halo I think I tried on.  I would not have wanted more than a carat in it.

I have moissanite earrings.  They are a carat each.  They definitely have a buttery tone to them.  I don’t necessarily mind it for my earrings, but I do find the stone to be very moody.  To me, it does not look or behave exactly like a diamond.  It is, however, very pretty in its own right.  I can almost always pick out a moissanite just from looking at a picture.  That said, I think it is a beautiful stone and I have seen some amazing moissy rings.  I think if you want something that looks and acts just like a diamond, you might be disappointed.

I am am obsessed with my moissy. She is showing a little color here, but typically she is flawlessly white! I say, with moissy, go big or go home! This is a 7.5mm (1.5 carat equiv) forever brilliant on a 6.5 finger. A little loose at times, but here in the south we tend to swell! Congrats and good luck!

There’s one 7.5mm Amora in stock at betterthandiamond.com which is the only other seller of Amora stones that I know of… if that last stone is gone by the time you get there, I’d check back frequently because their stock level fluctuates. Also, when I spoke to Chris at Moissaniteco, he said they were stocking more Amora in this order — 2mm, then 1.5 (prob. sometime in June), then 1.25, then 1.

Here’s the link to the Amora stone that’s currently avail:

    I have a 6.5mm and am glad I didn’t go bigger (ring size 6).

Sharyalick:  I haven’t posted any pics because I haven’t really decided how I want to handle anonymity on this site due to my profession. But, I have a 7mm FB moissy in a halo from Joseph Schubach’s. I also have a size 5.5/5.75 finger and a size 6 ring. I would say that if you are concerned about it being too big and you want a halo, go for the 6.5mm or even a 6mm. My halo isn’t large at all but it adds a LOT of finger coverage to the ring.

Shoot… I think it must have JUST sold out after I sent you that link because I checked back too for you a few minutes later and the stock was already down to zero ๐Ÿ™ Usually, if you click on the purchase option, the number of stones in stock will pop up. I only know this because I’ve stalked it so many times ๐Ÿ™‚ Depending on when you order your ring, you may still be able to get an Amora if you still want one — both of those sites (esp. betterthandiamond lately) restock quickly. I’d check back regularly unless you’re ordering your ring tonight.

Both Asha rings are gorgeous!! I LOVE the first one because it’s so elegant and timeless. I would say either stone size could look lovely — it really just depends on how you like your jewelry. When I was picking out my stone size, I found it very helpful to go and try different rings on at a store until I found what suited me. I would recommend doing that if it’s an option. And it’s fun ๐Ÿ™‚

    Good luck!!
