Hi Fellow Bees,
I am not yet engaged, but I admittedly have an obsession with halo engagement rings. I have been browsing the ring threads and I have seen some rather old posts of halo engagement rings, however I haven’t been able to find anything recent. I have a size 5 finger and love the elegance of a thin/petite band. The ring I am in love with is the Simon G 18k White Gold Halo Engagement Ring (link below). I think a 1.0 carat center stone is a great size, I mean I would love to go bigger, but financially I don’t think that is an option. With all that being said, I was hoping you lovelies could share pictures of your round center stone with cushion halo engagement rings (or similar), if you have the Simon G ring I would LOVE to see it. If you don’t mind, please include your finger size and the center stone carat size. 🙂

I hope this is what you are talking about! I’m not the best with jewelry lingo! My center diamond is a little over a carat on a size 4.5 finger and I love the coverage! A 1ct on a size 5 will be a great size! Just the right amount of bling 🙂

My center is .75ct and 1.5tcw on size 5.5

I have a round in a double cushion halo. It’s an OEC moissanite (1 ct) though. The diamonds in the halos are 1/2 pointers and the ones on the shank are 3/4 pointers. My finger is size 7

Sorry can’t upload pics at the moment!

Sorry for the quality of the shot- I am on the train with an iPhone only… 1 carat brilliant round cut with a 3/4 TCW halo/gallery, with my wedding band it’s 2 TCW. I wear an 8.5 and I still like the size! Our sales rep pointed out that a larger stone can make short hands look shorter, but a square halo balances that out.
This might be a “taboo”, but maybe consider a pre-worn center stone? Settings can be found at great prices if you just have the vision for what you want. The lucky lady who previously had my stone changed it out for a slightly larger colored diamond, which meant our store was selling it at less than 1/2 price with a lifetime guarantee and full appraisal! Best of luck!

I have a 1.44 ct round in a cushion halo by Gabriel&Co. My finger is a size 5. I think round in a cushion halo is the best of both worlds 🙂
