I like the contrast of the sharp lines of the princess cut against the flowiness of the band. Both the round and princess are beautiful in this setting, so I would choose whichever cut you prefer the look of in general. Princess cuts “face up” smaller than rounds so if you want more “bang for your buck” size-wise, round might be the better option.

Given the soft endges and twists in the band the princess does not work well.  The round ‘jives’ with the overall feel of the band.

    My 2 cents.

    I’d say round cut.

I love princess but I voted round it just looks better in this particular setting.

I like the round cut. The princess cut clashes with the curves of the setting.

I say round but that has always been my favorite cut.

Round all the way because the sparkle factor is much higher!

I’ll go against the crowd and say princess! I think the round blends in too much with the setting and the princess stands out and looks more unique!

@S_loves_C:  round diamonds are sparklier IMO.

my suggestion would be (if you haven’t already done this) go to a jewelry store and try on both round and princess cuts….you might be surprised that you prefer how a certain cut looks on your hand.  Just my opinion…congrats!!
