I have a round face too and did my hair trial with extensions today. I did big loose curls with volume.

utgirlie:  I like the big curls but I also agree about the extensions…. Try “my fantasy hair extensions.” I’ve been a clip in extensions wearer for like 7 years and even my best of friends never knew until like 2 years ago when I stopped feeling self conscious about them and they were so surprised. The trick is to get REAL, remi hair and use AT LEAST 200 gs of it. The last thing you want on your wedding day is a stringy, thin look. once they’re in- your hair should look the same thickness from the top to the bottom- otherwise they will be obvious.

I’ve attached a pic of mine for reference. I think with proper extension usage- big curls would look awesome!!!

utgirlie:  also I just noticed in your “front” pic that it looks like your stylist styled your hair and THEN added your extensions. (the curls in your natural hair are much tighter than the curls in your extensions.) your extensions should be put in and THEN your hair should be styled so everything blends.

As an extension pro (not something I’m necessarily proud of but a fact nonetheless lol!) I don’t think those extensions are real hair based on how they’re holding curl And the little bit of unnatural shine they have… I think a better quality set would make a world of difference for you!

I hope this advice doesn’t come across too harsh or critical. You’re a beautiful girl with fabulous hair and I just want it to look your best for you on your wedding day!

If you really want extensions I would use extensions with more volume.  The hair seems to thin out towards the ends and that is the most unflattering part about them.  Maybe they just were not trimmed well.

I like the style in the post by

ScarlettOHara:  You would still need the extensions to give you that volume all day and you avoid the volume issue with the extra long length.

I agree that the extensions seem to be weighing you down. I personally think the crinkly waves will hold better as the day goes on whereas the the looser, big curls will fall flat. Keep us updated with your choice! I too am debating going in for a second hair trial after having a disappointing first round… it’s a tough call.

utgirlie:  Thank you! I was skeptical that the volume would add to the face roundness LOL! It held up fine thought the whole day as we were outside doing our engagement shoot near water. I had my hair curled and pinned up for about 45 minutes (I was getting my back tattoos covered during that time). She used hairspray to tease the roots/clip area and hairspray once the pins were taken out. I got my extensions from remyclip.com.

Here’s a picture of the pinned curls. Please excuse the unfinished tattoo coverage areas on my back.

You look great in your dress!

Definitely do the bigger curls. I love that picture. Also make sure your stylist gently brushes out your curls so they look smooth and polished and aren’t so piecy.
