I absolutely love the portrait neckline of your dress! You may want to do a side swept look or something similar if you’re not wanting an up do so your hair doesn’t overshadow the neckline of your dress. I also think your hair, at its current length, with finger wave curls would be spectacular with bright lipstick (almost like a 50s pinup look). Good luck, post pics once thou decide 🙂

I think a half up, half down look would be great!  Some pouf at the top with lots of length to draw the eye down…to your awesome dress.  Looks great on you btw!  🙂

When you have a round face, for makeup I recommend drawing attention to your eyes by doing something dramatic like a smokey eye. If you do that, you probably don’t want to do a red lip. (The rule of thumb is only go super dramatic for one feature.)

Wow. You look better in the dress than the model does… no lying. I kind of like how you have your hair in the picture… to class it up, maybe something like this…

I would stay away from extensions though… you want to look like YOU on your wedding day, not someone else.

From what I can see, your hair and makeup in the picture are both pretty awesome. I wouldn’t stray too far from that if I were you.

I think it depends a lot on what shape your eyes are too. I have a SUPER round face and “oval” eyes (I say oval because they’re also called “bulging” which I don’t like, think Aishwarya Rai). Oval eyes are “almond shaped” but don’t tilt up. Mostly you should look at highlight/contouring your face. There are TONS of tutorials out there for that and some pretty good dupes for high-end brands of highlighters/bronzers. I know some people say that if you have LONG hair and a round face you should let it down because it’ll elongate but I feel like my face looks better/thinner when I have it pulled back. In all honesty your hair and eye makeup look pretty good in the first photo so for your wedding just look up how to HAC, it totally makes a difference.

I have a round/heart face. My best friend (maager of a make-up counter) did my make up and the hair is Brittany by Amore in Copper Glaze.

I’m planning on an updo: a high bun with a tiara and veil. Don’t worry about your figure, you’re beautiful just the way you are! For makeup I’m probably going for just a natural look with maybe some smoky eye.

Soft curls look really good on round faces. I also agree that a side up-do would look wonderful.

That dress is phenomenal on you. 🙂

@katie90:  what about something like this? I was going for this look on my wedding day.. My stylist missed the mark a little but my hair still looked pretty good.

Round faced people can still do updos. We just need height at the top to balance out the fullness.
