Hurts so badly!! ouch!! I had a little stretching, in the beginning. Actually, that’s what made me take the pregnancy test. However, in the past week or so I have been having these sharp pains in my lower abdomen and read that it’s these stupid ligaments stretching. The best way to describe is is almost like the start of my cycle, but they only last a few seconds! I also have to be careful with getting up/moving too quickly or I hurt then too. Anyone else? I am 13 weeks.

Me too! I feel your (literal) pain. I’m 16w5d. The pain, for me at least, got worse before it got better. It helped me to sleep with my pregnancy pillow between my legs. It’s normal and healthy, it just sucks! Hang in there!

@morkiemama: Worse….oh no!! I also had surgery, on my knee, some years ago. I haev noticed that it threatens to give out on me at random. I pray that it doesn’t one day. I am nowhere near as big as I will be, so I am so scared of that. I already took a tumble early on …..trying not to step on my furbaby. 🙁

@PrncssDva: Yikes! Definitely be careful, especially as you get into the second trimester. Around the 14 week mark, I started getting terrible dizzy spells and almost fell a few times! It’s scary, isn’t it?!?

It helps to roll to your side completely before standing up… if you try to get up the usual way, you’ll get those pains every time.

Sorry and welcome to pregnancy. I’ve had this since about 12 weeks. I am now 32 weeks and have learned to deal but it’s getting worse. Get a body pillow for sleeping and try to keep the activity level to a minimum if possible.

@morkiemama: I had a very short dizzy moment, the other day. I saw the little dots.
@jjmomma: You have to roll, even when you are seated?
@roxy821: I have a body pillow. I bought one when we first got married. I have to use it, at night now or I can’t get to sleep.

ugh, i had this too. it’s calmed down over the past few weeks (i’m 27 weeks now) but for a while there, i feel like i had jolting pains everyday. i would just second the body pillow suggestion and also just drink a ton of water. good luck!!

@meggyo: I freaked out a little the first day, because it felt like the beginnings of cramps. I was like please don’t let me start bleeding. I thought that I was going to have to call my doctor..until I got the 13 week update on my phone.
