I suggest trying some on to see which one looks better on your hand. What looks good on one person may not look good on another.

Hmm, I love round cuts! But I somewhat find round brilliants to be slightly over-used in general jewelry on the street, and I prefer a traditional micro pave halo to have a cushion center. That being said, I have a round cut which I personally picked because I found a slightly non-traditional take on a micro pave halo and the round just spoke to me! It’s all about what you can see on your finger, and lucky you have little bitty fingers so likely anything will look nice! :]

I LOVE the round brilliant cut with the round halo. It seems so classic and the round cut really sparkles. I may be biased though since I have this exact ring. By The Way I have a size 3.5 finger and 1 ct solitaire and I don’t think the 1 ct overwhelms my finger. But, you have to be super comfortable with the ring you are purchasing! Happy ring hunting! 🙂

I LOVE cushion cut. I have a 1.5 c cushion cut solitaire (no halo) and my finger is a 4.5. I love the way it looks and any bigger would be too much.

Ohh I love the idea of letting your future Fiance decide on the cut! If you love both, and he knows what kind of halo and specs you are aiming for, then letting him take the reigns on the decision could really be a great experience for him, and give you the excitement and anticipation factor! Great idea! :]

I have a .74 carat round in a pave halo. My ring size is 5!

And a little closer up (sorry for the blurring!):

The Halo vs No Halo dilemma is one I am very familiar with.  If you are going to go with a halo, I love the way they look with a square/roundish Cushion Cut!

I too was torn…as I thought I wanted a more “MODERN” cut….but my setting has a neat and modern profile so  I decided on the round stone as it is (what they say) the best cut for sparkle, fire and brillance.  After ALOT of diamond education we thought the round brilliant excellent cut diamond was the best investment.

1.20 centre stone set in a 2 mm micropave halo with an additional .35ctw eternity band, F, SI1, size 6.

Good luck….you will love whatever you decide.
