If the tables are 60″ rounds, 12 will be very tight. I attended a banquet last weekend with 10 to a table and we were cramped. No way could we have fit 2 more people at the table and have been able to eat comfortably.
Yes. I was at a wedding last summer and we were 12 to a table. It was not very comfortable.
I work at a wedding venue but catering deals with seating. If they use 6′ rounds they set either 8 or 10 to a table. 8 is great, 10 is tight. 12 would be very cramped!
If it’s a 6 foot table, some venues recommend 12. For my 1st daughter’s we had 8 or 9, on the 5 foot tables, and 10 on the 6s. We should have done some with 11, but our guests were primarily couples. For the 2nd, they only have 6 footers and set-up for 10. Their banquet chairs are a good size;’ I’m guessing you could fit 11 easier with smaller chairs (chiavari?).
What size round is it? 54″ 60″? Or 72″. We have 60″ and we are doing 8 per table. Even the venue said do not try and squeeze 10 in there. They recommend 10 for a 72″ table.
