my fiance proposed me with a heirloom ring and he gave me an option to re-do the setting. i’ve changed my mind numerous times from one ring to another, debating between 4 prongs (mainly cartier) vs 6 prongs (tiffany), regular band vs thinner band, and medium profile setting to low profile settings (there were couple from bvlgari)… after few weeks,
this is exactly how i wanted my ring:
simple round solitaire ring (without paves/side stones/halos)
thinner band than the original design (i liked the dainty looking rings)
medium profile setting
and my e-ring finally came back!!

Wow that is stunning, congratulations!!
Do you know the mm measurements for your stone? (I’m trying to decide what to get so that info would be so helpful!)
Also please feel free to post more pics, would love to see more shots of that beauty!

thanks ladies! i found it really helpful when i was browing through gazillions of beautiful e-rings on this board so i thought i would do the same for someone who has same taste as me.
the stone is 1.5 carat (top diameter is between 0.8-0.9) and band is 2mm thin. (jewler made it as thinnest possible for me i think)

That is gorgeous. I LOVE double prongs, I think they are so elegant. My stone is a solitaire too (you can look at my past posts for pics) and I am so happy I chose that. It is classic and will be beautiful forever!

podoh: what type of wedding band(s) did you end up going with? I LOVE double prongs, I usually like more bling but for some reason only like double prongs with a plain band. Maybe I can just dress it up with a couple sparkly bands 🙂
