My ring is a .72 GIA E vs2 tripple ex hearts and arrows. It’s basically a solitaire with a “ribbon” and we had it custom made.  I wanted something similar to the tiffanys ribbon ring, but obviously it was over priced so we had mine custom made and it saved us money annnnnnd I was able to make it exactly how I wanted.

You may not want Moissanite, but I have a ring just like that with gold and moissanite stones. Mine was only $600, but Moissanite isn’t for everyone! Also sorry for the huge pics!

Sorry for the super dry hands. I had just finished doing dishes when I took this pic. I really need a better one.

Anyway, this is from Blue Nile – platinum with 3 rows of pave stones and a .7something stone.

He got mine at a local jeweler.  Platinum band, half eternity.  I think the band without the center was around 1500 or a little less.

@MissFemmeFatale:  they are natural white diamonds, but they weren’t heat treated or radiated to turn them blue. My jewler works with one of two places who changes them using different process that actually made them more expensive then my side white diamonds.  And they arent radio active and they will never fade in color.  Natural blue diamonds are even more rare and expensive then pink So that would have been outrageously expensive and unethical to even get them.

I think a diamond’s ethicacy (is that a word? lol)  Has to do with where it’s mined and how it’s retrieved… I don’t know much about it all, but it’s my understanding the ethical issue is with blood diamonds, where people are exploited in the harvesting of the diamonds.  If diamonds are harvested in a safe, ethical way.. then there’s no issue.  Ie: canadian diamonds I am pretty sure are a safe bet.  When I bought my wedding band, the paper work told me exactly what mine they came from.

But I guess other issues could be with how the earth gets so chewed up just for a few of these pretty stones… Stones that are way over priced and not nearly as rare as they are said to be.  But I do still love me some diamonds!

That’s just my input… I haven’t researched any of this tho, so feel free to school me if you know more! lol
