gm9803:  I think if she really wants an oval shape, that is what you should get her. Have you talked to her about your concerns? Maybe there is a stone besides diamond she would like?

gm9803:  This is the closest thing I could find with a round diamond in an oval halo. I think it’s a cool idea if your Fiance is on board, but I think you do need to make sure you’re on the same page. I would definitely ask her if she would consider a different center stone as that might open the door to more options for a setting.

I think the halo like that could work. I would love you see the link from the email.

Personally im a diamond girl but knowing how she feels I think a mossy will be the best bet for you. You can get the oval cut and have the clear/very sparkly stone. I agree a white sapphire won’t sparkle the same.

Sorry if this shows up huge but this is my ring. Its a oval moissanite which is lab created. Got it off etsy from a store called RosadosBox. Excellent prices and lots of ovals!

Can I just say though how cute your original post is trying to find an idea that will work? She’s a lucky girl. You never know if you go to a jeweller they might be able to work with your design to create something like that? If not I agree a moissanite would be better! Good luck and update us when you decide!!
