I’m a fan of round

Princess cut is pretty, but I prefer softer angles, so I like the round (cushion is great too).

I got a round.  I read that princess cuts are more prone to chipping, and that less of the stone shows because of how they are mounted.

I love my princess, but I’m a fan of straight angles.  They’re very different – depends on what you like.

I went for round, I have long fingers and the sharp angles of princess cut looked really strange on me. Although I love princess cut…

@DeeVine1217:  +1 same here. Love cushions.

Have you tried some on? Then you can tell which looks best on your finger.

I’m on team round … but i am biased! I just can’t get over how much more shine and sparkle there is

mine is a princess in a halo (although in my picture it looks round) I could have had cushion but it doesn’t sparkle as much (or so we were told) and it is usually a more expensive cut.  I didn’t like the way round stones looked on my finger – the square is a better shape for my hand,

I went with round because I think it just looks a little softer. However, because I got a four prong setting, it actually almost gives the appearance of looking square from far away.

Team Round…I’ve been obsessed with cushion my whole life until I realized how expensive they were for the size and the chunky facet plot I wanted. My jeweler appeased me with some beautiful, big sparkly rounds and I never looked back. Bang for buck
