I’ve been on three cruises, but none for a honeymoon. I’ve always had a lot of fun. The most recent one was on Royal Caribbean on an older (=smaller) ship, and it was a blast. Of the lines in that pricepoint, I think RC is hands down better than Carnival unless you are a serious partier and want to be around people and noise and ridiculousness the entire time.

Bf and I are going on a RC cruise in 19 days! I am so excited and will definitely have a report out when we’re back 🙂

I went on a cruise for our honeymoon last month. It was the first cruise for me and Darling Husband. We sailed on RC as well. It was amazing! We are so obsessed now as well and plan to cruise as much as possible. We travel a lot but the cruise was the best. It’s like multiple vacations in one. You can’t beat it. Like the OP stated the staff is wonderful. I read many reviews and everyone seems to prefer RC over carnival. We will definitely be trying newer and bigger ships as well as upgraded rooms.

We’re on Voyager of the Seas in December to go to Australia, and I’m so excited to hear that so many people have had great experiences with them!

@wifegoodman:  I’ve never been on a cruise, nor have I been to Australia. I’m SO excited. We’re going with FI’s family to celebrate his Grandmother turning 75.

@wifegoodman:  I am a “mature” bride… Mr TTR and I are semi-retired, and we travel A LOT… we’ll be doing a cruise for Part II of our own Honeymoon.

Best place to find out info is on the Cruise Lines OWN websites, and also CruiseCritic.com, they are the # 1 online resource for cruising (sister website to TripAdvisor.com)

Example, PROS and CONS of each Cruise Line, Destination, Ship and even Cabin Category…

Go there, you can get ALL your Questions answered… and so much more

Hope this helps,

Darling Husband and I met on a RC cruise so we decided to take our honeymoon on a Cruise (also with RC), we had a blast, enjoyed every moment, we had so many options and things to do, it was money well spent…but I must say that compared to other cruises that I ve had with RC they have downgraded a bit, their cruises use to be even better.

@wifegoodman:  I’m getting a new passport to be on the safe side.
