- Wedding: June 2018
Guys I need help.. I am trying to plan our honeymoon cruise to Europe! So we get married on June 29th of 2019, and we would take our honeymoon in July. We have a royal carribean cruise that is 12 nights, $4,126 and leaves July 5th-17th or we have the Norweigin cruise that leaves July 11th-21st and is $3,688. Either way we would fly in a few days early to vist Paris. Royal cruise you fly into Barcelona, and sail into Monte Carlo France, Pisa and Rome Italy, Athens, Mykonos, Santorni Greece and Vallta, Malta. With Norweign you go to all the same places other then Rome and Monte Carlo France, but we do get Chania Greece, Sicily and Naples Italy.
My pros to Norweign: is we get to go to those extra places, its $500 less then royal and it includes unlimited drinks in that price and we dont need to pay for wifi since we are on a port almost everyday. (We need wifi just to touch base with family)
Cons to Norweign: Is we do not get to go to Monte Carlo, and Rome. (though we do sail out of Rome so we would see it a little bit). We would always be on the go since we would be at a new port everyday almost and we would spend more money since we are the ship more.
Pros to royal: is we do get to visit Rome and France, and we would have a little more time to relax at sea. (but who goes to Europe to relax?)
Cons: We do not get to go to Chania, Sicily or Naples. It is $500 more and we would have to pay for drinks. (so more like $800 more??)
Some extra info is Royal has 3 sea days which could be a pro or con, goes to 7 ports and we could leave 2 or so days after the wedding.
Norwegian has 1 sea day, 8 ports and we would leave 8 or so days after the wedding and that could be a pro or con as well.
So what do you guys think?? Which cruise should we go with? I hope I didnt put you to sleep with all the details, if you have any opinons or been on any of these cruises to Europe and have any insight that would be great 🙂
Much appericated!!! God bless 🙂
