gozerthegozerian :  I had my SO watch it with me as well. He noticed the same thing. He said she looked like she was going to a funeral instead of a wedding. I was suprised because guys normally don’t notice these things LOL

I liked the tiara.  She couldn’t have worn Diana’s because I felt hers was too large. The Lovers knot is super heavy. That one with the flower they were talking about was a bit much. So I thought this was nice next to her super dull, unexciting dress.

Ugh, hated the dress. I was like…and…and…ohhh…that’s it?

The veil was pretty, I guess.

Her makeup was lovely.

I wasn’t pleased with the ceremony. Somethings I liked, and somethings I was like ugh, oh god. Its like they were trying too hard to be DIFFERENT. Loved the flowers. Loved the cello player.

I wanted more hats!

One host on CNN I wanted to backhand(and I usually like him). Especially, when he continued to say she’s going to bring a revolution to the monarchy and the British hosts were like no, that’s not how it’s done and he wouldn’t listen to them and sounded like a dumb American.

No, she doesn’t have the pressure that Kate does, HOWEVER, she is still part of the royal family and she must fall in line to a certain degree. Going rogue usually doesn’t work well, and Harry is close to his grandmother so I hope Meghan doesn’t do anything dreadful and there is a wedge between them.

I thought it dreadfully sad that her mother was alone. I wish she could have brought a friend. She did well and looked great.

I hope, really hope Meghan knows what she’s in for. A part of me thinks she doesn’t. I just hope the best for her and I hope her trashy relatives keep quite.

VictorianChick :  I though Meghan’s mom looked a little sad. I just thought she would have been more in a cheerful mood. Not sure if that’s just  her normal face. I liked the color of her dress though.

I think she looked beautiful. I loved the dress and the no make-up look. And they both just looked so in love and excited which was very sweet.

socalgirl1689 :  Yes, there were a few times she almost cried.

Its a big deal. She’s giving her daughter up to another family. I am unsure how much interaction she will have with her daughter from now on.

I really didn’t like the dress at all. I think simplicity can be beautiful and classy but it was ill fitting and seemed to fit her like a trash bag. Her makeup, on the other hand, was beautiful and made her look radiant and stunning. The tiara was kinda ‘meh’ for me. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it.

I thought the preacher was a little much and his sermon was a little long but I like the point he was trying to drive home. I thought it was a bit strange how he kept talking about slavery tho. All the music was all gorgeous and one of the highlights of the wedding for me. I was disappointed that Kate repeated the same outfit she had worn before. She seems to be doing that a lot lately and it makes me sad because I think she has such lovely style.

Loved her radiant smile!  The neckline of the dress was pretty but overall underwhelming. I expected something that would influence Bridal style.  But it was plain. Her veil was amazing.  She didn’t look dressed up enough.  It was her day, she probably had rules to follow. She looks pretty, just understated.  They look happy and in love that’s what is important.

Her attire was a nod to timeless elegance. She didn’t need bling to proclaim that she was a royal bride.

I cannot fathom why anyone would pay $135,000 for that dress! I get they have money to blow or course, but still! If I could have that budget I would not get an ill fitting dress like that, and trust me, I’m a HUGE fan of simple, modest wedding dresses. All she needed was a little bit of shape and definition from the dress  tbh!

I liked her makeup but just wish she had on a little more blush and lip color!

Over all though, they look so incredibly happy together and that’s all that matters!

bywater :  I don’t think it was the lack of bling that has people underwhelmed. Kate’s dress didn’t have bling from what I remember and yet it still stood out. Megan’s lacked shape and didn’t suit her in many people’s opinions. Or maybe everyone just had higher expectations idk. But I don’t think anyone was hoping for or expecting bling.

socalgirl1689 :  I feel like the dress was plain on purpose. With all the gold digger accusations and such, I’m sure she didn’t want people focusing on her dress as a statement piece.

I’m curious what her reception dress looked like.

bambii :  Agreed. I thought the preacher was a bit much as well. It was too long as well. I stopped listening.

I love her dress.  It’s very classic, timeless, and understated.  She looks beautiful in it.  The train, tiara, and dress are perfection.
