My date is 10/26 and we are having our RSVP date 10/1.  Figure it’s a nice easy date to remember.

PS – HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII starfish.  Miss you, lady!!!

Mine is August 15th for my September 15th wedding. One month before. I wanted time for late RSVPs to come in and find out about people who do not send them in.

Something I’ve wondered… is it better to make a deadline at the end of the month, rather than the beginning?  In other words, if you make the deadline Sep 1, do people subconsciously think “I have to return this in Sept” and think they have the whole month, vs. making it Aug 31 and prompting a return in August?  Or is the having something due the first of the month easier to remember since it’s a familiar due date?

Can you tell I think too much about these things and never come to any firm conclusions?! 🙂

My RSVP return date is August 8th.  This is (not-so) coincidentally the same date as the confirmation/discount hotel block we set up.  I’m hoping that the guests will notice that they are the same date and will feel obliged to respond once they book their accomodations.  fingers crossed that all goes well!

We’re sending them out the first week of August and the rsvp deadline is September 15th, so I’ll have a week after the deadline to make sure they’re all in for the total head count.

We are doing 5 weeks before, the reason being- the hotel block closes 4.5 weeks out. The same people who will forget to check one box and put a pre addressed RSVP will be the same guests who failed to book a room. I will be calling all of the guests up who failed to RSVP within 24 hrs of the deadline and, if they’re attending, reminding them what day the blocks close.

The blocks are a big deal because the price difference n block vs out of block is $100 per room. In the cheaper hotel block the price diff is $50.

I had originally chosen Sept 1 for our Sept 23 wedding but then I changed it to August 23

I did August 25 based on needing a guest count for the caterer two weeks ahead. I since found out that she only needs that a week our, but I guess more time to sort out responses is not a bad thing!

3-4 weeks before is normal, so Sept 1 is fine. Anything earlier is really too early and some guests will decline because they just can’t commit yet.

Im getting married September 29th and I asked everyone to RSVP by September 1st. I needed the time to do the diy seating chart, lol.

I did August 25 for my Sept 30th wedding. We need to know for the venue 1 month before, so we left a few days if we need to track people down. But honestly, we heard from most people already!
