I am sending my invitations sometime in July , could be mid of July hopefully before but they are still getting made (from etsy).
My wedding is on Sept 9th and wondering when should be the deadline for the RSVP since I am sending them out a bit late?

I had mine 3 weeks in advance. I would say no later than that because if it is the same as in my case, people will not rsvp at all and so there will be a lot of contacting to do which will take extra time.

First of all, I think your timing for the invitations is totally fine. For the RSVP date, it depends on when you have to provide final numbers for your venue/caterer/etc. Mine are due 2 weeks ahead of time, so I am going to ask for responses 4 weeks or so before the wedding. I honestly don’t think your guests need more than 3 weeks to send back responses. You might get a better response rate (less calling around!) if your guests are forced to respond right away. I think the beginning of August would be good for an RSVP deadline.

I did a month prior for mine and it worked out well. A lot of people waited til the deadline date to send it – so, it gave me a little wiggle room to wait for the stragglers, before I started hounding the non-responders.
I just looked at the calendar – Aug 9th is a Tuesday – which actually is perfect. You can start making whatever calls that weekend! I think that’s the perfect RSVP date! 🙂
