Ours is July 24 and the rsvp date is June 15.  A little early, but I wanted to give myself some time to call and track people down.  I’ll be moving june 11 and be pretty busy!

Oh no, I wish I read this thread before I had invitations made. I’m getting married August 2010 but am planning way early because I don’t like doing things last minute.

Anyway, the invitations are already being made overseas, and I requested to have my response cards indicate reply by May 1st, 2010.

Should I change it? Or should this be ok? I just thought that the earlier I know my numbers, the better I can prepare. I feel really silly now.

I’ve set mine for a month and a half just in case I have extra room to invite more people.

Annie–I think your RSVP time is WAY too early.  Invites typically go out about 8 weeks in advance, with an RSVP date of 4 weeks in advance.  Don’t rush it.  My guess is that people will ignore a deadline that is that artificially early, and you’ll end up needing to make a TON of phone calls to follow up.

We have a May 1 RSVP date for our June 6 ceremony, and we still haven’t heard from about 2/3 of our guest list! Argh!

My RSVP date is really late because of an invitation-designing snafu… but I’m trying not to freak out about it, because there’s nothing I can do at this point. Oh, well. I just hope some people show up!!

Oh my, I’m an idiot. Thanks, Erin. I guess I’ll have to get them re-made. A lesson learned, at least. Unless I find another way to spin it?

Someone told me about having Priority A and Priority B guest lists. In case people in Priority A replied no, then I should give myself ample time to send invites to Priorty B people. I don’t know. I’ll see how things work out. Thanks again!

Mine is June 1 for a July 12 wedding. (But I know they are not all going to come by then)
