I’m trying desperately to make our RSVP cards idiot proof. I’m not sure if “We have reserved 1 seat in your honor” could get confused as we’ve reserved one additional seat for your guest…
Would it sound awkward to say “we have reserved 1 seat in your name” ? Or does that give the same 1 additional guest seat impression?
Ahhh. Maybe I’m overthinking this and under estimating our guests.

I personally like and get how honour sounds but in the sense of getting the point across directly and fool proof I guess you should use ‘in your name’. Either way I’m sure your guests will understand,

We did that. We wrote
We have reserved 2 seats in your honour.
__ of 2 will be attending
Nobody got confused 🙂

@eagle: I think you’re overthinking it. Tessemasgirl ‘s suggestion sounds perfect to me.
