My wedding is July 27, 2013 I am working on my invites and was trying to figure out the RSVP date. I was thinking June 30 a nice easy number. I thought July 5 but that’s right after the holidays and I think it would slip people’s minds. Any thoughts bees?

I gave approximately a month for my guests to RSVP just because the caterer has to know 2 weeks in advance so I need time to call everyone who doesnt respond on time 🙂 I’d say you’re good with either of those times depending when you need the final count. I tend to lean towards earlier just because I’m such a planner and I’d prefer the extra time.

When does your caterer/venue need the final head count? I would set the RSVP date about 10 days before they need the final numbers. That gives you time to call anyone who misses the RSVP date.

@Britt214: June 30 sounds perfect. I’m getting married May 4th. I asked for early RSVPs, April 5th. I don’t want to be stressing-out and following-up with people at the last minute. 🙂

@lauraminn: well the caterer is a close friend who owns a fabulous restaurant so he is just going to make plenty extra so we don’t have to worry about that. I just didn’t want it to be too terribly early.
@happybbbeee: that was my thinking as well! I didn’t want any extra added stress 🙂
thanks everyone for your help!
