(Closed) RSVP DATE etiquette

I think the easiest way to get a response is to call them directly and let them know that you need to know if they are coming so you can give the correct number to the caterers,etc. Be polite about it but firm, because not responding to an RSVP is RUDE!

Luckily, I have 10 months before I have to start doing this but I’m dreading it already.

I would say that calling is the best way to handle it, based off of when you need your final count by. If you can wait another day or two before calling, there may be a few RSVPs that were sent out before the deadline that may come in.

If you have a long list of individuals, while it is best if it comes from you, you can certainly involve your Fiance in the calling and certain family members if need be and they are willing to help.

I’ve heard that the Maid/Matron of Honor should call the remaining people who have not yet RSVP’d.  Wait another day like Ms. Peachy said to get the stragglers in though.
