We got a blank response card. Seriously, someone sent it back blank. We were so perplexed until my Fiance at the time saw a note written on the back.

@bride2befl21340:  and what was in the note on the back (if I may ask)?

and to the OP: I love your aunt’s response, and am similarly disgusted by your sorority sister’s.

@Ivorybuttons:  The note actually was indecipherable. We couldn’t read the handwriting! It took us forever to figure out it was from some extended family in another state. And the funny thing was, the note never said they were coming or not – just basically best wishes. I mean, we’re smart enough to realize that at this point they weren’t coming, it’s just bizarre to get a blank card with best wishes written on the back in illegible handwriting.

I got one back where the couple wrote their name on the card they didn’t check if they were coming or not!

I need to take a pic of the one RSVP I got back the other day. It was from one of my FI’s older relatives. On the RSVP card under “name of guests attending” he wrote “your immediate family”.

I don’t even know what that’s supposed to mean lol. Fiance says he’s just old and trying to be funny. I hope it doesn’t mean he’s going to show up with a bunch of people?!!

Our RSVPs read “___ of 2 guests will be attending” and nearly everyone has left it blank. I didn’t think the concept was that difficult to grasp.

Or they did fill out 2 of 2 but only put one name so I am assuming they are bringing the person I addressed the envelope to! This was a problem with those that just got “and guest”

So far we’ve only gotten nice ones back with people writing cute messages on them, but we have a small wedding (80 people and only sent out 51 invites)…but there are a bunch we haven’t even gotten yet and I can imagine those are going to be weddingbee bulletin board-worthy lol
