We are planning our wedding at a retreat center where guests can choose to stay over night in a room or camp in a tent. If guests stay they will be paying for their own accommodations to the retreat center, but we are responsible for assigning rooms. How should we include this in the RSVP? Should we include a seperate card for accommodations or ask people to email us?

Haven’t quite done this myself YET but from what I’ve heard, most hotels will allow you to reserve a block of rooms. You can do this at various hotels (you odn’t have ot pay for the unused rooms). If you have a wedding website, thats the best place to put the information

Thanks for the respose, I realize maybe I wasn’t clear on what I was asking. We are doing a kinda non-traditional wedding. We are renting out an entire retreat center. Guests can stay over night at the retreat center camping or in a room. Because we are renting the whole place (and it is not a hotel) we assign rooming (some is shared cabins and rooms). So I guess I was wondering what people think is the best way to ask people if they are staying and what kind of accommodations they want. In the RSVP or online? I knew that this would be something to figure out, and thought other people might have good ideas.

Can you just put a line on the RSVP card that asks accomodations? They can check an option – camping/room/have our own accomodations.
