Hello! So we have to pay half of our venue cost on September 6th… problem is we still have about 40 RSVP’s not accounted for ( not 40 people but 40 whole household RSVP’s)…ugh. So I know it was most likely not proper but I sent out a massive FB message to all that I could simply stating that we have to pay half and we need to know if they are coming or we are afraid that they will not be counted in the dinner/seating count. If people still don’t respond or we still have a large amount out there by the 6th… what should we do? Any thoughts?? Thanks!!

I would do it individually, not via a mass FB message. Even if you just copy and paste the same thing. Obviously not all guests will use FB, but I did message a few people or had them message me saying, “Hey I lost my RSVP card but I’m coming!” So I figure it’s okay if they’re open to that type of communication, ya know?
For some, calling or texting may be more appropriate. You know your guests best. 🙂

If your RSVP date has passed, you can contact them. I don’t suggest making a mass message. Call or a personal message (you can copy & paste). When I sent out a mass message to collect addresses, a few people responded and gave their info to everyone in the message…
