- Wedding: January 2012
The wording on my RSVP cards read:
The favour of a reply is requested on or before December 20, 2011. We have reserved ___ seat(s) in your honour.
___accept(s) with pleasure
___decline(s) with regret
I have gotten two back so far that were addressed to both members of a couple (both names were on the envelope), but only the name of the man was written on the line. For example, even though the invitation was addressed to Mr. and Mrs. John Doe, only John Doe’s name was written on the response card. Both of these RSVPs said the person would attend.
Should I assume that the other half of the couple is also attending, even though her name wasn’t written down? Or should I assume that the man is coming alone? What do you think?
