Now. They’ve missed the deadline; it’s time to remind them of that and harrass them until you have your headcount. πŸ˜‰

I think about 3-5 days after is enough time to wait before bugging the crap out of them =)  Some people forget and mail it in 1-2 days after the deadline.

The day after the deadline, IMO.

@summerbride12: My wedding day is also June 26, I’ve given until June 1st to reply.. its still kind of a long way away! I’d say ask as you see or talk to people but don’t start chasing people down until closer to June at least.

I started contacting people (that I had a feeling wouldn’t respond promptly) the day of the deadline.  For some people (that I was close too) it was more “don’t forget to mail your RSVP!”.  My mother, for one, had the deadline date MARKED on her calendar – as if that was the date she had to mail it in by… aye!

She wasn’t alone, however, and a got a ton right the day of the deadline and a couple days after.

If it’s been more than a few days, I’d start contacting ASAP!

My wedding is June 24th, and I gave until May 24th for RSVPs.

We ended up getting invites out later than expected (due to FI’s thesis and my finals) so I am going to give a few days grace period for those who don’t send it back by then….

But if you’ve given a few days grace period, then I think it’s safe for you to start making a few phone calls…. especially if your vendors have a specific day they need a head count by.

I would definately start stalking people right now. I am dreading this process. Why can’t people just put the little envelope back in the mailbox? lol

My RSVP date is tomorrow.  I plan on contacting some people on Thursday (my generation), and others starting on the weekend.  I’m still waiting on many but there’s a few days left.

Definitely start making the calls πŸ™‚   My deadline is 5/27 on Friday, I’ll wait until the Monday night that follows before I start harrassing… but it’s happening then πŸ™‚
