We’re about two weeks out from our RSVP deadline and I am seeing some pretty strong trends in terms of which groups responded quickly and which groups we haven’t heard a peep from. In our case, younger people/friends were actually best at getting to us, followed by my family, with his family being a distant, distant runner-up. FH wasn’t very close with his extended family growing up but we were both hoping this would be a great chance for everyone to get together again. And they are Italian and I really had my hopes up that they would be excited to come to a wedding out West. *sigh* Anyway, what are your RSVP response trends so far?

My sides family and friends were immediate. Fi’s took until the deadline or later.

My family has almost all responded.. and my deadline isn’t for well over a month. FI’s family has responded a lot less.. but I think they have the “you know I’m going” mentality & they don’t think they need to send the card in. And a bunch of people FI’s grandma invited don’t speak or write in english.. so getting their rsvps shall be interesting 🙂

Every call we had to make was for someone on FI’s side of the list.

Most of my friends have RSVP’d. They are due Wednesday and I have received 9/40. The rest are mostly his family and friends. I told him HE could track them down.

@laurn88: Yeah, not looking forward to nagging my dude to nag his family about RSVPs. Really crossing my fingers that his family sends all their RSVPs at the last minute and that at least some of them check yes!

Just sent our invites out 2 weeks ago and we have almost all of our friends’ RSVPs back already. That’s the group I thought we were going to have to track down!
