@Janaic88:  Oh jesus, don’t do Facebook!  Who’s mother would suggest that?!  Give them like 3 days after the deadline (if you can) and then start calling people.

One way or another you have to have an answer.

@Janaic88:  On my due date I had half my rsvp cards in. I feel your pain.

I used FB, but only to message Fiance and I’s friends to see if they were coming or not. I wouldn’t set up a FB event. We picked up the phone and called/texted for most of the responses.

Good luck!

I agree with not setting up a FB event, but I think most brides call to follow up

I would wait 3 days past your deadline and then start making phone calls.

You can yell at me if it will make you feel better. I’m good for that and I won’t take it personally — promise.

@Janaic88:  Plus if you do it via Facebook you might know they’re coming … but who are they bringing as their +1?  What do they want for dinner?  Is there a family member that isn’t coming?

If they didn’t respond with the pre-packaged RSVP they probably won’t via Facebook.  And everyone knows a “yes” on FB actually means “maybe.”

You can split up the list between Bridesmaid or Best Man to call mutual friends, MOG to call her side of the family and MOB to call yours but calling is what it boils down to.   Direct and immediate answer!

@Janaic88:  Yes, and I put everyone in charge of “their people”. If they were FI’s friends, he was in charge, my parents in charge of my side of the family, Future Mother-In-Law in charge of her side. It worked really well, I think I am down to single digits that are MIA.

How horrible! I was just having this conversation with someone the other day: people are rude! I think people don’t believe they need to RSVP anymore and I think it’s so rude! I’d like to think it’s mostly younger or single people, but my friend said most of her non-rsvp’ers were married couples. shocked me! I hope you’re having better luck and were able to get a hold of everyone!
