Ugh! I have been complaining about this for a couple of weeks now so I totally share your frustration. Except in my case, Asian people are also notorious for not RSVP-ing and then showing up with extra uninvited guests, so I had to really crack down on my missing RSVPs and explain that this isn’t going to be at a Chinese banquet hall where they automatically add 10% more than your final numbers.
My due date was September 15th and I’m still waiting on 4 or so RSVPs, but we have to put in our order for rental chairs so if I don’t hear from them soon, they literally will not have a place to sit if they decide to show.

Wow you and I really do have a lot in common…… with the coming to the wedding after saying no and bringing extra guests on top of that!!!
My due date was August 30th, we received about 3/4 of the rsvps, we ended up having to tell the hall we were at max capacity anyway (500) because we don’t know a final number and the last thing we want is for people to show up and not have a seat……
The best part? We are a week and a half away from the wedding, and we are still getting rsvps in the mail.
We feel your pain OP…….. hang in there!!!

I feel your pain! I’m in the process of tracking down people as well and haven’t received phone calls or texts back from certain people. It drives me nuts! Just tell me one way or the other! I also had someone tell me “maybe” when I asked them. SMH Anyway, I finally did what you did and told them that if I didn’t receive a firm yes by such and such date, then they would be marked as a no and there wouldn’t be a seat for them.
I don’t get it…it’s not that hard to check a yes or no box and drop it in the mail!

UGH, I totally feel for you. I’m not sending out my wedding invitations until the beginning of December, but I’ve hosted enough showers for friends over the years toe DREAD the inevitable hunt for delinquent RSVP-ers. I seriously don’t know what’s wrong with people. Money and time have been spent trying to provide a great party for you! Take 2 seconds to check a box and stick your pre-stamped reply card in the outgoing mail! GRRRRRRRRRR.
