Just wondering what people do about RSVP’s that haven’t been sent back yet, would you follow up or just assume people aren’t coming? with my RSVP’s there is a meal choice and I know the people are coming but they haven’t sent the card back do I pick something for them lol or call and find out…its very frustrating considering the postage is paid and on the envelope they really just have to tick yes or no and the meal they would like!

You have to follow up. You will be paying for meals that are not needed otherwise. It would also be terribly awkward if they showed up and you had no seating or meal for them.

Yup, call. or email. or text. or FaceBook (private message!! – not on their wall!!)… however you think you are most likely to get a response from that individual.
You’ve got to know for sure. Can you imagine how embarrased you would be if you assume “Aunt Sally lives far aways and didn’t RSVP, she must not be coming.” And then Aunt Sally DID show up after driving all that way? And you had no place for her to sit?!?
Guests do funny things. They don’t think about it from your point of view, so follow up with them.

Chase them down for their response.

Thanks for your reply’s my plan was to follow up but just wasn’t sure, I know it would be embarrising for to not have people set up and assume but I also think people could have the decency to send the RSVP card back considering its already stamped for them
