Well I’m going to Olive Garden in about an hour and they’ve got some great food. I’m thinking about having them cater my wedding 😉
Can do and will do!
Cocktail hour:
prosciutto-gruyere pastry pinwheels
goat cheese & fig crostini
fruit & cheese
Main meal:
chicken marsala
veggie lasagna
pesto linguini
marinated melon salad (I don’t really get this, but the caterer assured me it goes over well)
some kind of normal green salad
breads & rolls
Cakes:
groom’s moose tracks cheesecake
wedding cake, three tiers, not totally sure yet–something awesome involving key lime, something chocolately… like that.
The caterer is providing water, tea (we’re in the south, but not the deep south, so that means sweet & unsweet iced tea), coffee, and lemonade. We can bring in our own alcohol, so a friend is making great homebrewed beer of a couple of styles and we’ll have wine, maybe a wine sangria drink. And there you have it!
My wedding is over, but I could share mine if you’d like!
@Mrs. Meowerson: I honestly don’t remember everything we had. Just wanted to say I love your title to this thread!
@Mrs. Meowerson: We had a late reception since our ceremony didn’t start until 7:30pm, but we had:
-Chicken satay skewers with chilli peanut sauce
-Tomato, basil, and mozzarella skewers
-Italian meatballs
-Roasted veggie tray
-Veggie tray
-Italian cheese tray
Plus we had a big smoked meat tray – I think it had turkey, ham, and roast beef maybe? Plus there was cheeses and assorted breads and rolls. Our caterer makes homeade BBQ sauce, and it was the hit of the party.
We didn’t do cake, we had assorted cupcakes. I had three 😉
@Mrs. Meowerson: lol love your title.

groomscake (carrot cake with cream cheese buttercream)

Lunch table:

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Do you mind if I come to your wedding 😉 I am small and won’t eat much!
