I’d cross it out again and send it back to her, editing it to say ‘nevermind – no need to accept!’

LOL.  Just kidding. ๐Ÿ™‚  But how rude of her!

That’s just strange/rude!  I would have been annoyed too.  I wonder if she was *trying* to be funny?

While it was really tacky of her to write that…maybe she was trying to be cute? As in “i accept!” versus “i attend”? or something?….

You could call her up and be like, “the ink was all smudged when I got it–i think you wrote me a note but i can’t read it?” and see what she says =]

Maybe she did as a joke since you’re an editor? At least hoping that’s the case…

Major control freak! ๐Ÿ™‚

She needs to learn to let things go! I can’t stand it when people do stuff like this… would it have killed her to just tick it off as written? Sheesh. People suck.

That is incredibly rude! Its your day, your invitation you’re going to word it how you like! Although I do like eis4y8 ‘s idea of calling her up and saying that the ink was smudged. Then you’d be able to find out if she meant it as a “joke” or if she really was just being ignorant.

Okay I’m sorry but I’m going to have to disagree with mostly everyone on here and go against the grain .. might she have done it to be funny? Because she knows you’re an editor? I mean, I guess you didn’t think it was funny but I could see it being like an “oh.. she’ll think this is cute if I i play editor on my rsvp card”…

I’m going to be honest, I find that a lot of the times people mistake some things for snarkiness when in fact it isn’t the case at all. Unless you know for a fact this person is a complete bitch and malicious, I doubt it was a malicious intent.
