People always have opinions about your belly, but it’s none of their business and I wish people would learn that already. Every pregnancy is different, so if you’re doctor has no concerns I wouldn’t stress about what other random people think.

I think it’s important that your DH comes with you to an OB visit so that he can hear from the OB that the baby is FINE and you are FINE and there is no “wrong way” to be pregnant. Besides, all that stress can’t be good for the baby. He needs to leave well enough alone.

He comes to every appointment that he can make. My OB has told him that everything is great. He’s just a worrier and overprotective. He asked me already today if I ate and I said, yes. A dozen donuts with tuna. HAHA! I did tell him that I am well aware that I need to eat healthy and I am doing so. I also kindly reminded him that he is gaining right along with me since we eat the same dinners and stuff. That shut up him up quick!

LOL! I wonder how HE would like it if you commented on every meal he eats? That was one of my biggest pet peeves when I was pregnant. People would comment on how healthy my meals were and it was like “Seriously? You smoke and eat Carl’s Jr. everyday, since when are you a dietician??”

@mrskisstobe Although this is only my first I am at 36 weeks and can still wear my normal non-maternity jeans and clothes with no problem. Every pregnancy is different and I’m sure if your doctors were concerned they’d say something

Well, I totally jinxed myself responding to this post. I had to go in for my 38 week appt yesterday afternoon, and since my dr was out this week, saw a new one. My uterus has been consistently measuring more than 3 cm less than how many weeks I am. At my 28 week appt, I was measuring a 24. Since that was over 3 cm less, she made me have a growth U/S, which showed everything was fine. Anyways, I have always been 3+ cm short, but still growing from week to week so my reg doctor isn’t too worried. Well, the one I saw yesterday measured me and I was just shy of 35, and a little over 38 weeks. So, in 11 weeks (about) I gained about 11 cm, which is good. But she was still going to make me go to another growth U/S! I am holding off until next week to see what my regular doctor says.
Well, husband was pretty unsympathetic and got on me about not getting enough protein and calcium (I don’t like hardly any dairy or meat, although I am not a vegetarian). I have been trying my absolute best to suck it up and eat stuff I don’t like in order to get necessary nutrients and it really hurt to be second guessed like that. He later apologized and said he was sure everything was fine, but I’m still upset. I have been trying my best and can’t help it if my uterus isn’t measuring exactly where it should be- all signs indicate this is a perfectly healthy baby.

This was me at 22 weeks…
My bump was pretty small, even up to 9 months. It was only large at 38-40 weeks, and even then people told me it looked small. And we had a healthy, happy 7lb 14oz girl. Just ignore them.
