    @maggiedubois:  you sound pretty bitter. So you’ve met them and they know who you are? That doesn’t count as a friendship per se. Maybe they don’t want you at their wedding. There are a million posts on the bee about who does/doesn’t get a +1 and not wanting strangers at their wedding. Destination weddings are usually very exclusive. Not the kind of event where everyone gets a +1 automatically no matter how wealthy the couple is. I suspect you’re more hurt (understandably) that they’re not acknowledging your engagement. If you were already married they’d have to invite you for sure.
