@MsMeow:  Apparently that was her stereotype of vegans! I certainly don’t want to look like I’m starving!

1- I’m impressed you didn’t deck her. I might have.

2- That being said, I heard that a LOT before our wedding! People just assume a bride is going to try to lose as much weight as possible before the wedding. People were making jokes about “WHY ARE YOU EATING? You have a DRESS to wear tomorrow!” at our rehearsal dinner.

@Lizzy723:  very irritating! This is the worst part about the crazy, starving bridezillas.  Now ALL brides have this reputation of eating nothing but vegetables and demanding things of everyone they know.  We’re not all like that, people!

(Not judging or criticizing those who are on diets, just the idea that a bride should be rail thin and that women should do anything to be that way on their wedding day.)

I like the response: “What you MEANT to say was…. ” and then insert snappy gracious Wish-Everyone-Acted-Like-This statement here.

I fully acknowledge that I have stolen this from the thread about small-diamond e-rings. Someone says: “That’s so cute!” or other such nonsense, and you respond: “I’m sure what you MEANT to say was CONGRATULATIONS.”

I’m not totally sure about the … part in this scenario, but I trust my Bad-ass Bees to fill it in! 😀

Some people just don’t know when to zip it. Sounds like someone had a stick up their ass. Shes probably just jealous anyway! One thing I’ve had to deal with is not caring what people think, it makes your life so much more postivive and joyful. In order to truely be happy it needs to be done 🙂 You will look beautiful in your dress, and at the wedding I’d be like “see, I sure love me some cotton candy!” and twirl around. Screw her.

@BrandNewBride:  I also heard it constantly before the wedding. The worst time was I walked into my office and my coworker said, “Are you gaining weight? You know you have a dress to fit into in September…”

@Lizzy723:  Funny thing about weddings, people lose all sense of tact and appropriateness.

My dear I am sorry. That was an incredibly rude thing to say to someone, anyone, regardless of their size! I see you have a corset (I did too, loved it!). No need to fear the dreaded weight gain…it will fit you like a glove!

@gelaine22:  I wanted to be like “WHERE IS THAT BIOTCH. I’ll give her a good smack upside the head for you!”

Then I saw you’re from Brooklyn, and she could probably lay me flat!

@Lizzy723:  SO rude. I can’t stand people like that.
