@Lizzy723:  Crap like this would make me want to have a cotton candy machine at my wedding, take a bit bite right in front of her, and say, “That’s right, bitch. In my dress.”

Some people have no filter. It’s amazing.

I know what you mean, I think I’m pretty average (street size 6) and my Mother-In-Law told me I should look for a strapped wedding dress because a strapless dress pushes my fat into the visible area. She also suggested to get a zip up back instead of a corset if I wanted strapless so again, my fat wouldn’t fall out of the top of the dress!

Luckily, I don’t get offended easily, so it’s all good. Sometimes though, people should keep their opinions to themselves! 🙂

I can’t imagine ever being so blatantly nasty and rude to another human being.  She’s trash.

@Lizzy723:  Yup! My roommate and I constantly trade various renditions of “don’t look at me,” (usually mixed with laughter and/or weird screechy noises) while eating deli meat out of the package at 11:30.

+1 for having cotton candy at your wedding. Cotton candy is awesome and you can make it any colour you want!

@Lizzy723:  You managed the situation well. I applaud your sense of humor, i need to be more like you and not allow people’s negativity to affect me 🙂

@Lizzy723:  She was unspeakably rude and if I were you, I would avoid her in the future.

@Lizzy723:  Well yes…I agree that she is incredibly rude and that was uncalled for. Can I ask why you are putting off trying to lose weight until after the wedding, though? Not that I think you need to lose weight before the wedding, by why are you putting it off at all?

@Lizzy723:  Ugh. I’m sorry. Luckily I don’t have to deal with that type of thing on a regular basis, but I do get the occasional really cutting comment about my weight. (I’m not even *that* overweight either. I work out all the time, I’m just made this way!) The worst is when people say things about how I’m bigger than Darling Husband or make comments about how I need to feed him more and eat less. (True story, that happened.)

Your dress will look beautiful. It’s possible that she was trying to bond with you over the whole dress/ladies are always worried about fitting into it trope, but it was tactless and didn’t work. And if she was being intentionally mean, screw her. In neither situation is it worth your energy.

By The Way, March will be here really soon! Enjoy these last few months of planning!
