@vintagebride143: Remarried to FI’s cousin so I guess she’s a cousin in law to him. Her first husband passed away unexpectedly. I don’t think she’s truly happy in her new marriage because her first husband is no longer alive.

Wow! I would’ve been livid! I applaud you for walking away. I can’t say that that’s happened to me, being fairly thin and my favorite food literally being salad, but lord help the poor fool who does.

@Lizzy723: I had SO many of those comments leading up to my wedding that I wanted to go all bridezilla on peoples arses! Unfortunately the worst happened and when my ordered dress did come in it didn’t fit… but only becuase I had worked out so much that I had put muscle mass on (smoothing out my back fat, but then the dress didn’t fit) No wrories it all worked out but it still irked me because I lost lots of weight and then people would turn to me and say “should you eat that?” GRR!

I just can’t imagine saying that to ANYONE, not just because I’m a bride. How do you say to anyone “should you be eating that?” It’s none of anyone else’s business but mine so BACK OFF LADY AND LET ME EAT MY COTTON CANDY IN PEACE. YOUR COFFEE AND CIGARETTE BREATH IS RUINING IT.

Everyone says that to me! Fi’s parents, my parents, Fi, friends, etc. I’m a size 2. I would try not to be so upset. Just brush it off and ignore her. You know you will rock that dress!

I would have looked at her and said “I’m eating McDonalds for dinner tonight”

@Lizzy723: I literally put up a post about my own insecurities because of this problem. Your my hero for saying that! I’ma stress eater too so I can actually relate. I love healthy food unless I’m stressed. At the moment I’m on exams. I went for two Maccas runs last night…

@MsChandler: I had noodles for dinner. Noodles with a dump load of cheese on top. Why? Because I’m stressed. Stressed because we just bought a house, planning a wedding with a Mother-In-Law who wants to invite everyone under the sun “even though they won’t come” and aren’t paying for anything (totally different story), and being between school and work. UGH. Comfort food here I come.

@Lizzy723:
Ugh sucks about your Mother-In-Law, maybe start a new thread for that? Nothing like a good vent..
I feel as if a new thread should be started
“What are you stress eating and why?”
My wedding is in 8 days, we’re about $800 short, I still have SO much to do, just finished exams and straight back into a new semester. I just ate a bowl of chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce.

@MsChandler: I probably will. I loooove ice cream and would probably eat an entire carton right now if I hadn’t given it up until my SIL has her baby. But what gets me is I eat because I’m stressed and I gain weight but then I’m stressed so I lose weight. I guess it’s nice about the weight gain but the hair falling out, noooo…
