@SoNLoveWithHim:  My mom said she would have given her a neglecting fist lol

I am too nonconfrontational and would have never been able to say anything back

@kansas_nurse:  I am sittting here applauding that first comeback to the girl that said something about your sapphires.  Sometimes people need that B**** comeback……and I secretly enjoy giving it to them 🙂
I also forgot to mention that that girl who said my ring was small….she then expected to be invited to the wedding!!

@howtobeawife:  I’m sorry; when he asked “Why not?” I would have been like “Excuse me, but when did MY body or MY marital life become YOUR business? If you’re not the one putting the baby in there then but out!”

Once when my mom and I were at a Publix deli, the young lady who was waiting on us told my mom that she can tell she’s having a girl by the way her stomach was perfectly round. My mom said, “Really, well you can name her when I have her.” I was dying laughing and told the girl that was my mom and she wasn’t pregnant.  She was sooooo embarrassed.  My mom said thanks for thinking I’m  young enough to still  be having babies.  #14 yr age difference between me n my mom!

@roguehnp2005:  I know…it actually supprised me how many people didnt know that a good quality sapphire is actually kinda expensive… the select few sapphire pieces i have, are actually my most expensive pieces! for a real good quality sapphire like th pendant i have from Fiance, is very good quality….and was rather expensive compared to most necklaces, not diamond expensive, but not cheap by any means….and yeah….she likes to (well the handful of times ive been around) make comments about her “superior” life and marriage….and talk smack on everyones choices…and then next time shes in tears  because her hubby “accidentally strayed again”…but is buying her xx to make up for it! some people….

@Payless:  I agree with your mom. It isn’t being confrontational when you’re putting someone back in their lane. A lot of things get a pass, but some things you just have to.do.a.slam dunk!

I haven’t had any strangers be rude to me, but my husband’s grandmother always says rude ass shit but in her sweet grandma voice as if she thinks no one will catch on. My personal favorites:

Grandma in law (GIL) “SunflowerGarden, is that you?”

Me “Um.. yeah.”

GIL “Oh. I didn’t recognize you. Your face really filled out.” – should be noted that I didn’t look any different than I did the last time I saw her a week prior.

and another:

Mother-In-Law “I can’t wait to retire next year!”

DH “Me too!”

Me “I don’t mind working right now… I like my job so far!” (a few weeks after I started my new position)

GIL “Oh, just wait until you get a real job.”

@Pixienickie:  This reminds me of something I experienced.

In the middle of the night I realized my roommate’s birthday was the next day so I ran out to the grocery store. It was a 24 hour place but not many people were there. I think the clerk thought I was buying munchies or something. When I put the giant cake up in the belt he goes “You know that has calories, don’t you?”

I’m pretty laid back but I don’t stand for fat shaming women. I called in to the manager the next day. She actually gasped when I told her what he said. I didn’t want him to get fired but can you imagine if he said something like that to someone with body issues? ICK!

@howtobeawife:  maybe he meant you had a pregnancy glow? 🙂 good skin, etc??

I like to eat snacks a lot. so this stranger must’ve observed me go through two bags of chips while waiting around, and he took it upon himself to let me know, while I might be able to get away with it now, I’ll be really fat if I keep up that habit. this was… 10 years ago? I still snack a lot and nope not fat. ha in your face stranger.

the rudest part was he was making wild assumptions based on gender alone, like “no guy will find you attractive if you’re fat” (no seriously he said something along those lines), and “don’t you want to look attractive in the future”. roll

I didn’t know how to respond but just kept eating my delicious chips and tried to ignore him. uggh what a creeper.
