So I tried on my wedding dress as a whim today and I couldnt zip up the back (I was by myself so maybe that has something to do with it). I didnt want to force the zipper but I have a 1 inch gap in the back where I couldnt get it to zip! Luckily I have 5 months to lose a couple pounds to make sure I can fit into this baby before the big day!

I just found out today that my dress is in but I’m scared to pick it up for this very reason, haha. You can do it, good luck!

That happened to me in November. I was really worried when I took it to the tailor a couple weeks ago. Fortunately, it fit perfectly! I was just careful for a month or so. Now I just have to not gain or lose any weight for the next couple months. Good luck. You can do it!

Spanx. A girl’s best friend :o)
Also, did you have someone else try the zip as well? It’s a lot easier for someone else to zip you in than to do it yourself, it might go on perfectly fine that way.

Don’t tone up your back muscles too much! Don’t want to build so much muscle that it gives the dress a reason not to zip! Ha.
I’m sure if it was just an inch you can EASILY shape up! 🙂

I bought my dress from another bride and originally there was 2-3 inches of zipper that I couldn’t zip. There is honestly no better motivation to work out then seeing that dress sit in the closet knowing it didn’t fit. I started running (about 1.5 miles a day) and keeping track of my calories (livestrong.com has a great tracker,)about 3 months before the wedding and the dress zipped no problem.
