Aw that’s a pity. I think it’s such a tense time waiting for everything to come together it’s understandable you were on eggshells and jumped to conclusions!

I’m sure he won’t be able to wait long again and it’ll happen soon! How exciting for you both ๐Ÿ™‚

snowball543:  Aw man! It is kinda funny. Very sweet of him to make all of those plans. But you didn’t know! It would have totally thrown me off too.

It sounds like he’s ready to do it again soon though! He is clearly excited about it. So, early congratulations to you both! ๐Ÿ™‚

Wait..did you acknowledge your anniversary at all? Or is it something that only he is supposed to do? I would be a bit peeved if my partner was tiffed at me for not acknowledging our anniversary if they didn’t either. An anniversary is a celebration of your relationship, for both people. No trying to be mean or anything, just wondering! ๐Ÿ™‚

Either way, hope the next try goes better! Hopefully he isn’t too dissapointed!

Guys seem to get really weird before they propose. It’s hard not to notice! Your story actually reminds of Chandler proposing to Monica in FRIENDS! Try to relax now that you know it’s right around the corner and let him do his thing. Congratulations for the big step you’re about to take!

I’m so glad you can see the funny side! Props to you for not getting upset, it’s obviously going to happen soon!

I almost ruined mine too.  FI made me climb up this massive ancient tower and spend like half an hour up there (the views were great… but not half an hours worth) and I was getting grumpy with him because I was tired.  He eventually let me go back down and then after a whole day of walking, wanted to walk up a huge hill!  I was like HELL TO THA NO.  He eventually convinced me to go up there, which is where he popped the question!  Turns out he wanted to do it at the top of the tower… but he wanted to wait until there were less people up there and tourists kept coming up.   I felt so bad for being mean to him!  I think it happens to lots of people lol.

Well, I think you learned that your sister is not the person to get advice from on this subject, goodness! Three days off odd behaviour, and she jumps to “guess he doesn’t love you anymore!”? Tut tut.

Sorry that you “ruined” your proposal but you can learn from this and laugh at it later – not just for the proposal, but life! Communication, forgiveness, not jumping to conclusions, and not trying to punish someone for not doing things the way you wanted them to, all that jazz!

Aww, that’s so cute the lengths that your SO went to to plan the perfect proposal.  I feel like guys can’t help but get antsy and act a bit out of sorts just before they propose ha ha  ( I know my fiance nearly s#*$ a brick the evening before he proposed because he had set everything up and had to travel to my dad’s place to ask for his blessing- and my dad wasn’t home at first!  Yes, my dad almost ruined FI’s proposal XD).

Kudos to you for being so cool and patient about the proposal and continued waiting game- it’ll be worth it, I’m sure ๐Ÿ™‚

snowball543:  That’s cute of him being all nervous and everything.

At least you know it’s coming, right!
