Does anyone else plan to run the morning of the wedding? Will you be running alone or with others? Are you wearing anything cute to show it’s your wedding day?
I’ll definitely be running the morning of the wedding and I’m unsure if I’ll be running with others. This may sound bad, but I want to run because it puts me at ease and I run every other day, so why not my wedding day? I don’t want to be running and then stopping to wait for those who are walking or unable to keep up- I think I may just run alone. As for clothes, I’m looking for a top to customize. I was looking at a Nike Dryfit top and getting “Bride” put on it. We’ll see!

@caits615: We are getting married on the beach and yes,I plan on running on the beach that morning. Most likely, with my Future Father-In-Law 🙂 It’ll be Georgia in June so a white tank, maybe with “Bride”, may be in order.

- Wedding: October 2014 - Disney
ME!!!! I was originally going to get married the day of the Disney Princess Half marathon after running it but we decided to get married the monday after. I’ll run my recovery run and/or swim a mile the morning before the wedding. Running clears my head, eases my nerves, and gives me freedom to eat cake without going oh f how many calories was that?

We might! My Fiance and I met in a running group and have run a few marathons together, so it’s our “thing.” None of my bridesmaids run, but it would be fun to get a bunch of girls together if they did! I could run with my Fiance and then we could part ways. We’ll see, I’m not too worried about it either way.

@RunnerBride13: Love that it’s your thing!! My Fiance is an amazing runner and he use to run with me but couldn’t keep weight on and really lost interest- at times I miss running together. My problem is also that none of my BM’s are runners and while I belong to a few local running groups, most of my friends there are men. I think I may just go alone, and I’m okay with that! I do know someone who set up a group run the morning of the wedding and sent out an invite to any guests that wanted to come along. You could make a 4 mile route and people could go at their own pace and that way you’d never feel like you’d have to wait for anyone. Could be fun.

Depends on the time of day we end up doing it – we’re hoping early afternoon to sunset so a short run in the morning when I wake up sounds great, just to clear nerves and as a PP said, cancels out all guilt I’d feel for drinking or eating whatever I want later on! 😉
