@ColoradoGirl: the Nike+ GPS app doesn’t require you to have a sensor! I’m a big fan of my Nike+ app just b/c I feel like it’s pretty accurate for me.

Run Keeper and Map My Run are both good 🙂

I’ve used Map My Run in the past and am currently using Runtastic.  I really like Runtastic so far; it’s got a good GPS signal, and displays your workout stats on your screen.  You can start and pause the workout, and it also has a lock feature so that you don’t accidentally turn it off mid-workout.

I really like Map my run but since the last update, the GPS has been giving me problems too–so maybe check it out again after the next “fix”?

I’ve heard good things about Runtastic but haven’t tried it out myself yet.

Zombies, Run! Is seriously the best running app I have ever bought… its really helped me want to run… also getting a puppy fed into that as well.

I use RunKeeper and love it. Map My Run I tried for a while but I really prefer RunKeeper. I’ve only ever had signal problems once with it.

@ColoradoGirl:  Yep you can actually tell it when and how often to give your stats, so every 10 minutes, every half mile, mile, etc…

@ccantics:  I was actually just looking at this thread in hopes that someone had tried it! How far into it are you?

I’ve used the C25K (couch to 5 k) app and I liked the basic design of the app but the running program just wasn’t for me. I’m not much of a runner though so I might just be biased. Personally I would rather push it for 15 minutes then walk for 15 than do intervals the whole time.

Zombie’s run is brillant, especially because you can set your pace, then occasionally and randomly you have to push yourself harder to get away from the hungry hordes!
