I live in a very rural area and never really thought about what people do with dog poo. I just adopted my first doggie two days ago and am curious about the etiquette. I’ve always thought the places where it is essential to pick up dog poop is the city, suburban areas, the beach, basically places where there are a lot of people living and congregating close together.
For bee’s who live in rural areas out in the country with few neighbors, do you pick up your dogs poo when you go for walks?

I live in a country like setting. Way behind my house there are horses, cows, etc. Usually when we take a walk on the grave road I don’t pick it up. If I take him to the “city” or dog park I do.

No, I never did but we walked around on gravel road that nobody else walked on. My dog used to run up into the bean field and do his business and I didn’t pick it up either. I knew the farmer and he encouraged me to walk my dog there, the scent helps keep some critters and deer out of the field.
