Hey everyone! I’m looking for a good spot to get our engagement photos done. We want something natural, simple (and free), like a big cotton field or a pretty forest area or something like that. I’m new to the area so I don’t know anything. : ) Any suggestions?

If you drive about an hour outside of Atlanta you can find little towns with big cornfields and that type of thing. I would go out near Lawrenceville or Cumming. Talk to your photographer, they will probably know a good spot!

Hmm, I’ll look into that, thanks!
Actually my photographer is brand new to the area as well so … we are both clueless. Hehe.

@moonadea: check out Serenbe towards Lagrange, we had our e-pics done there. It’s a $100 site fight to take pics there, but then you have free reign of the place. They did the cover shoot for Southern weddings V2 there.

Go to Sweetwater Creek State Park http://gastateparks.org/SweetwaterCreek
(not to be confused with Sweetwater Brewery)
They have I think three separate hiking trails that get you to great spots. They have the Chattahoochee running through it, which is a great background. They also have an old cotton mill ruins from Civil War era that you will see on the home page there.
Not far from the city – about 20 mins. Take 1-20 West and get off at Thornton Road exit…signs will direct you there…not far from exit.

I used to keep my horse in Conyers, GA. It’s very pretty and rural out there – lots of horse farms.
