We have not yet been engaged for two weeks, but are having to move quickly to book venue/caterer and phtoographer because we’re getting married in one year and in my city things book out quickly.
The stress of doing this all is really taking its toll and I feel like we’re having to rush everything.
I feel like this should be the happiest time of my life but I just feel anxious and tired.
Help?! Anyone else been here?

@futurejhart: Planning a wedding is a lot of work! I promise it’s totally normal to feel rushed and stressed over it: once you get your major vendors booked (venue, photographer, dj, flowers) you’ll have a little bit of downtime to relax, and you really should! Remember to take breaks from wedding planning – take a weekend with yor Fiance where the two of you don’t talk anything wedding. Just enjoy each other and do something that you like doing together! 🙂 Then you can come back to planning with a fresh mind.

@futurejhart: BIG HUGS! I know how you feel. I was in the same boat, we had a little more than a year long engagement (14 months) but in this area things book fast too.
Don’t make hasty decisions because you feel you have to. We waited it out a little and found vendors that we truley love. I’m really glad I took a chance and took some extra time instead of booking just to get things checked off.
